2016 Eleni Syrah
The nose has hints of a little cream soda and chocolate. A bright mouthfeel lends flavors of dried fruits and brandied cherries. The old soils and slopes of Red Willow Vineyard round out the well-balanced finish of this Washington State Syrah.
Named for our own Helen “Eleni” Ferrelli, Born in greece Eleni is her given name. Red willow is a very special vineyard on some of the oldest soils in the state, & this syrah is the oldest planted block in washington. Its steep, southwestern slope, w/ very rocky soils & great drainage produces beautiful fruit from immensely strong vines.
